About this deal

Chop and add to fresh fruit. Chop it up and add it to cantaloupe, strawberries, honeydew melon, and other summer fruits because it’s so refreshing. Add it to your tea. You can add fresh tea leaves to your pitcher as you brew it for a slightly minty flavor, or use it as a garnish on a fresh glass off tea so you can get that restaurant feel while you’re at home in quarantine. Or, use our favorite Nashville recipe, and mix 1 part sweet tea, 1 part lemonade, and 1 part orange juice with a splash of ginger ale and some mint leaves. It’s addictive. Use as a decoration. Add several sprigs of fresh mint to a glass pitcher of water. Set on your table for a nature-based decoration. Recommendations? For a stand-alone ice cream maker, the Cuisinart Ice Cream and Gelato Maker is a good, well-rated option.

For anyone unfamiliar with After Eight Mints, they are an iconic thin chocolate-mint sweet that was first created in the UK in 1962. A sweet soft and gooey mint fondant centre, enrobed in chocolate, they are particularly popular at Christmas, although available all year. And yes… They are gluten free and designated suitable by Coeliac UK. Yasmin Khan’s makes Iranian salad shirazi; a gorgeous summery mixture of finely diced cucumber, tomatoes, radish and mint, traditionally served as a rice accompaniment. Mint will struggle along in a half litre pot, but it’ll be happier and more productive in something bigger - like a 2 or 5 litres. I grow mine in five litre pots with small water reservoirs, where they do great. A lovely way of using up courgettes and a handful of fresh herbs is by making fritters; one of my favourite party nibbles.

If u don't want to use toothpaste because it has chemicals in it . U can brush with baking soda and chew a mint leaf after. (Donna Baggett Van Atta) Keep ants away. Ants hate mint, so if you sprinkle some cut up mint leaves in areas where you see them trying to get into your house or outside plants, it will keep them away. Another way of preserving mint is to separate the stems and layer between paper kitchen towels. I store these in a sealed plastic container and find they will last quite happily in the fridge for about a week. I find that using herbs when I cook is much easier when I have herb scissors. It makes a much more uniform cut and saves a lot of time snipping herbs into little pieces. Finally, it also makes storing fresh mint leaves a lot easier.

Dehydrate it and use it in tea. I always keep peppermint tea on hand for upset stomachs and digestive issues.

Top your favorite dessert. Add a few sprigs to top a meringue, chocolate cake, pudding, or other sweet treats because it adds a delicious taste. More research is needed to help understand how it may work and investigate whether peppermint does, in fact, improve brain function. Summary I am not the world’s biggest fan of a traditional British mint sauce as an accompaniment to lamb. However this mint and tomato salsa really hits the spot.
