About this deal

Spacers come in different materials, including nylon, stainless steel, brass, ceramic, POM, and aluminum. Metals often provide a more aesthetically pleasing finish for visible applications and nylon is ideal for the high corrosion resistance. The spacer hole is usually round to allow the bolt or screw to pass through. What is the difference between a spacer and a standoff? Standoffs are like spacers in that they provide space and have a hex or round-shaped body and two openings. The main difference is that standoffs are usually threaded onto the screw and the threads can be male or female. Spacers are small pieces of material that sit between the screw head and surface to create or maintain a space clearance between two things. Spacers come in a range of different sizes and lengths (2 mm to 50 mm spacer), depending on the space required. Their body shape can be hexagonal or round and they are also compatible with different screws, such as M3 and M4, but they are not threaded. There are two types of spacers you can choose from: 6 mm or 8 mm. This number is referring to the axle diameter, so the size you need depends on your axle size. A 6 mm spacer, also known as a long sleeve spacer, will work for a 6 mm axle. Likewise, an 8 mm spacer, also called a floating spacer, will fit an 8 mm axle. If you want to know more about the differences between the two types of spacers, then head over to our Spacers Guide. Inline skate wheel spacers are the small pieces that are placed between the two bearings in each wheel of your inline skates. They exist in different sizes (6 mm or 8 mm), so be sure you know which spacers your wheels use before purchasing new ones. This will usually be stated on the wheel or on your old spacer.

Having quality spacers for inline skates makes sure that your bearings are held securely in place and that your wheels will spin freely. The spacers take some weight off the bearings and also reduce friction. They are usually made from metal or plastic, but it is more common to get spacers made from longer-lasting metal, often aluminium. Choosing the Right Inline skate Spacers A spacer can be used to position parts within an assembly, to lift sections making sure there is enough room for the heat to dissipate, and to separate or create a space clearance between two items.
