About this deal

I love that Delton while fierce and overbearing didn’t drown Xara’s character out and she stood firmly on her own two feet when she needed to.

Beck used the same type of speaking in her previous books, like an old period of time type of talking, and it made me love the books but I don’t know why the combination between that and the third person narration didn’t work at all for me, it made me feel as if I was reading a list of things Sunnëva was doing “she noticed the fireplace, she ran to it but there was no wood. The clans survive by one law alone: pay the King the homage he is due and never take what belongs to him. I enjoyed reading this story but I felt like the pacing was very slow and the conflict was unnecessarily dragged till the very end. That isn't a huge issue though, because the focus is on the romance and in that regard, this book certainly delivers. The King’s Bride is a steamy second chance, enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance with a happy ending (HEA). In their increased proximity to each other and trying to find out each others secrets, feelings are developed and lines are blurred.

This story is a adult fantasy which is built around arranged marriage/marriage with convenience, enemies to lovers telling the story of Delton and Xara. I really appreciated the fact that the FMC didn’t fall for his apologies easily and made him work for it. It seemed like so much led up to the reveal of Ifer’s identity, so I expected a more explosive final few chapters. After everything that happened in their pasts, Xara and Delton take a while to truly give themselves a second chance and I loved reading about their slow burn romance, they have so many great scenes together and it’s so worth the wait to see their relationship grow, I loved them as a couple. Young Lady Rose Esthelar, the beautiful mistress of Morecliff Manor since the death of her mother, the beloved daughter of a dear father, the dear sister of a pair of rough-and-tumble brothers, and now future bride of King Henry. Well, when I say 'he', of course, I mean Regent Errol, he's the one really running the kingdom until Henry is of age.

He then is taken by Jökull and his men to the woods where they hear him scream like a dying animal, meaning, he was killed. There are a total of 69 chapters for The King's Bride already prewritten on a document, and I anticipate posting every other day.
