About this deal
Aileen has a BS in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. It's really fucking vague, because there's supposed to be a fucking point to her visions, and they just seem to be random-ass crap things. Leaving LA is a feat in itself, and upon investigating a little as to the real reason they’re moving, Tessa sees something she can’t explain and experiences her gift a little differently than usual. Yes, a lot of it could be said as the usual - girl with a quirk and an outsider meets other boy blah, blah.
muscles rippling beneath his shirt” then back to jealous chick with a stiff spine whom fights those bitches and leads charges against vampires…. Girl with super powers who is the one, who doesn't know shes the one, falling instantly in love with a boy she needs to stay away from blah blah. This book is the start of a fantastic series that follows Tessa from her 'normal-ish' life to a very 'not normal' life at a new *boarding* school.
Thing is I can't concentrate on the conversation right now because all I'm thinking about is kissing you-" I'm the boy is good looking, "I watching Dastien run toward the course with equal parts raw power and grace.
I swear I really do love YA, but for some reason, I always read the good ones YEARS after everyone else! Not that I found this story to be derivative: there were some funny references to Twilight, and while Tessa is an outcast, I love that she's comfortable with being "weird" while still anxious to make real friends. Back to the point: Dastien didn’t mean to bite Tessa and breaking a cardinal rule, he didn’t mean to hurt her and change the course of her life, but he did. There are some novels that are packed with conflicts that it was really exhausting to read-through, and there is some novels that is lacking of conflicts that it was boring. I wish I had friends like Meredith, Chris and Adrian they were so realistic and weren't just one dimensional like some secondary characters are.Tessa has always been the outcast at school because she has a gift but her peers perceive it as making her a freak. As a formidable force and figure in the writing business, Aileen is undeniably found in the upper echelons of any serious reader’s, authors list. or like I get that it's hard to accept the fact the you are a warewolf and I'm ok with that but once you've accepted warewolves are real you still think witches and magik and vampires are crazy talk?
