About this deal

It’s very important for your protagonists to be 'different' because today's youth despise the sheep mentality and so they all strive to be unique. A little personal (and warranted) angst, a love interest that ends up causing even more angst, some questionable behavior (that is never answered until the end – so it keeps you guessing), and of course, plenty of paranormal activity 😉 Be forewarned, it is a YA series, so a lot of the drama is due to personal inexperience and typical teenage hormones, and you get the usual “mean girls” cattiness, but I always get a kick out of those things (now that I don’t have to suffer them).

Ever and Damen have traveled through countless past lives—and fought off the world's darkest enemies—so they could be together forever. Manifestations are "simple quantum physics," Ever is murdered lifetime after lifetime but escapes this time due to the serial murderer's "lack of love" and the narrative never explains how Ever reincarnates with a new body and consciousness yet remains herself. Candy Gourlay introduces Wild Song, her companion novel to Bone Talk, in which Luki and Samkad leave their home in the Philippines for America.Especially when you could be injecting more drooling from the female protagonist in place of any kind of characterization for your hero. If this novel had turned out to be a clunky read, I would have tossed it unfinished; but, upon completion I got the satisfaction of having made it to the end, and it was, superficially, a pleasant story. If you are not interested in someone, or someone is making you feel uncomfortable, you are not obligated to be polite to him. The writing style, story, and characters are a bit like Meyer and Marr's popular books, but written with a new twist and voice.

Besides the book being kind of dystopian, with Fae and magical creatures and a boarding school setting, this book has trials. Determined to get through her new high school life in “recluse” mode, she befriends only two other people, sulks in her hoodie, and blocks out the “mean girl” snickers with her iPod. It feels like I reviewed Everless a lifetime ago, and since then I’ve ended up acquiring four different copies of it because I enjoyed it so much… This debut world of Sempera from Sara is just so dangerous and beautiful at the same time. So I advise you, dear reader: if you value your well-being, stay far far far FAR away from this atrocity. Earlier I touched on the relationship between Jules and Liam, but let’s breakdown what actually happens. She punches her in the chest, the heart chakra, and it kills her because she's lacking in love (and Ever has so much?

He’s another character you can’t help but love but in a parallel way to Liam – he’s charming and funny.

Although this book is interesting in its concept, it's still the typical story about a beautiful girl (Ever) falling in love with the mysterious good looking bloke (Damen) who joins her school. Please also remember that she probably should be a reader, preferably of Wuthering Heights or Romeo and Juliet and that she should consider everyone around her to have inferior intelligence despite the fact that her reading repertoire extends to only a couple of books. It's slow, and while I don't mind taking a languid ride through a few hundred pages if the writing is exquisite and the eventual end is worth the wait, in Evermore it just isn't.

Constantly found texting his latest boyfriend, gossiping or practicing the lines to his lead role in the musical Hairspray. What about the mere fact that supposedly, everywhere she goes she sees these dead people walking around like they're at the fucking carnival? Thus the female protagonist shouldn’t have anyone close enough to her that she can’t break contact or eventually forget about them. Anyway, like most typical, shitty YA novels- it starts off with a boring, emo girl who is a ~ speshul snowflake (because we are severely lacking some of these in the YA genre, of course) angsting on about the curse of her powers!
