About this deal

Throughout, Fred shares his code for success, happiness and a life fully lived, gleaned from half a lifetime of hard yakka on the wicket, in the dressing room, behind the wheel, in the boxing ring, and even treading the boards of a stage musical. But, at 43 years of age, and with a bit more time on his hands than usual, Freddie Flintoff has had a moment to reflect and he’s noticed that, although there’s been little method in the madness, there has been the occasional common thread. I am glad I read this, because even though I have watched his documentary and ALOTO, I could understand more about his views and opinions on certain aspects of life. Andrew Flintoff, the new England captain, is one of the most exciting sportsmen in the world, and, following the historic Ashes victory of 2005, one of the nation's best-loved and most instantly recognisable characters. Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff is a funny guy on the box but this was just bland and repetitious stuff that barely shed light on the 2005 Ashes that's been reported elsewhere. This book marks his story so far in his own words, taking us up to and including the summer of 2005. The lost form, gain form, Neil Fairbrother helped me then we went for a drink down the pub with Harmison and Rob Key.

The Book of Fred is filled with anecdotes, observations and the odd opinion all told with Fred’s trademark humour and no-nonsense style.

This isn't my usual read but I like Freddie Flintoff and regularly watch ALOTO and Top Gear, we even watched the Fish and Chip van series that he did a few years ago. Freddie Flintoff - My World' is a lavishly illustrated and beautifully produced book which includes a stunning series of photographs. who ,and i mean this in a nice way as i am a big fan of both, Is reminding me more and more as the "new Clarkson" ! The inclusion of photographs is a positive aspect, providing readers with visual glimpses of Flintoff's career and personal life.I actually thought, given Fred's sense of humour, that the book would have been a lot more entertaining than it actually was. It is filled with anecdotes, observations and the odd opinion all told with Fred’s trademark humour and no-nonsense style.

Everything from the current state of cricket to presenting on Top Gear to Christmas and Getting Old. But, at 43 years of age, and with a bit more time on his hands than usual, Freddie Flintoff has had a moment to reflect and he's noticed that, although there's been little method in the madness, there has been the occasional common thread. But, at forty-three years of age, and with a bit more time on his hands than usual, Freddie Flintoff has had a moment to reflect, and he's noticed that although there's been little method in the madness, there has been the occasional common thread. Each chapter Flintoff picks a topic and discusses it, with not much apparent connection between chapters, which is great because it makes it very easy to read.

The Book of Fred will share Flintoff’s code for success, happiness and a life fully lived, gleaned from half a lifetime of hard yakka on the wicket, in the dressing room, behind the wheel, in the boxing ring, and even treading the boards of a stage musical.Published just months after that historic win, this book was written primarily to capitalise on the post-Ashes euphoria. Additionally, the book assumes a certain level of cricketing knowledge, potentially alienating readers who may not be well-versed in the sport. Personal challenges and low points are touched upon but not thoroughly explored, leaving some questions unanswered. Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff (MBE) is a bestselling author, broadcaster and former England international cricketer.
