The amount I am invested in Harry was pretty clear when I was on the edge of my seat in certain parts of this particular book and definitely had my heart in my mouth.

There is an element of "stupid" here which I am wilfully ignoring for the reading enjoyment that I got out of this book. Originally dated December 15, 2020; Corpse Road is the David’s book three in the DCI Harry Grimm series. Runaways aren’t that uncommon, of course, but this followed a major scene at church when the girl supposedly received a text from her boyfriend. I am a sucker for British crime, so I will persevere with one more book in the series, with hope it will improve. Then Grimm gets seconded for a quieter and peaceful location out of harm’s way set in the Yorkshire dales of Wensleydale.Maybe my perception has been altered by my religious intolerance, but I wasn’t entirely happy with this one.
