About this deal

This bumper box of chunks will give you hours and hours of hot smoke flavour on a bbq, smoker or ceramic grill. Pecan is ideal when smoking poultry and fish as it adds a bit more kick than cherry and apple, but won't over smoke. Our Hickory wood smoking chunks are around 40-80mm on average (Think approximately fist size) Making these a great choice for longer cooks and longer smoke times. Simply soak 1 or 2 wood chunks in water for two hours before you’re ready to cook then place dampened wood chunks on hot charcoal or in to your Weber® Smoker Box before adding food to the cooking grate – the more wood chunks you use, the more intense the flavour!

Fruit and lighter woods are often paired with fish or vegatables, and cherry is often the favourite when smoking pork. The service from Bromfields buchers was great, I bought the 2 kilo pack and all the family are really enjoying it. This wood creates a sweet, yet strong flavour, the smoke can be pungent, but it adds a nice, strong flavour to just about all meat cuts.As these barrels have been used to age whiskey for years, even decades in some cases, please expect a degree of 'weathering' on the outside of the chunks.
