I loved his characters and more, I loved the way they developed and became ever more real as the series grew. And while I appreciate the effort and none of it was incorrect or anything, it felt extremely odd as a Dutch reader.

What I loved most about this book was that I remember wanting to know so much more about Willem than what we got in Just one Day. A long-distance relationship would never work, but Teagan has never felt so strongly about anyone until Caleb came into her life. But I do observe the public timeline, and I’m genuinely intrigued to see what will happen on X during the upcoming US election.

Unfortunately though, 99% of this book was a really boring recap on what had happened to Willem over the course of the year that he and Allyson were separated, and it was just mind-numbingly boring!Yes, the book is a sweet read with many fun and cute moments, but I really didn't connect with the characters or feel their relationship as much as I was hoping I would have. But accepting a surprise job offer leads to an awkward discovery: she's hot for her millionaire boss, Chase Bradley! The romantic, emotional companion to Just One Day , this is a story of the choices we make and the accidents life throws at us.

And the fact that this book made that glorified pamphlet of foot fetishizing have to come into creation is reason enough to one star it.Set in lockdown England, Josie finds out, at 49, that she has just one year to live and starts to question her marriage, her role as a mother and even her relationship with her best friend; all of the people she holds nearest and dearest are going through their own private ordeals and dilemmas but has the pandemic driven them all so far apart that it turns out to be the worst year of her life? I FLOVED the beginning, I've never enjoyed a book so much at the start as I did this one, the middle kind of fell a wee bit flat but towards the end the author managed to close it up all nicely. And all of this could have been overlooked had I been rewarded for my diligence and patience with a single shred of interaction between Allyson and Willem.

Meanwhile, Scholastic backtracked on its segregated book fairs, releasing a statement apologizing for the decision.
