Yes, it’s pretty tame in some respects, but there was no way Hasbro could have recreated some of the more memorable and trippy depictions we’ve seen in the comic panels. I was a bit taken aback at first by the inclusion of a relatively minor Age of Apocalypse character like Kate Pryde at first, but it cannot be underestimated how important it is to the display factor to have both characters that should be displayed together (like Colossus and Shadowcat, Sabretooth and Wild Child, etc. X-Men certainly has its share of memorable and sympathetic characters, but I developed a particular connection with Legion over the years. This is where you will find any My Little Pony, Monster High, Barbie or Polly Pocket items that we may have in from time to time.

The plastic coif is pretty magnificent too, and his braids are soft and bendy enough so as not to impede articulation too badly. I am going to try to check in again this weekend with Sabretooth and then double up the rest of the reviews for this assortment, so we’ll see how that goes! I get it, that is strictly preferential, but if I am scanning my Legends collection, I can say that, without hesitation, that this is an iconic Colossus, and I love him. The unmistakable stack of hair looks great, and I dig that they added that one little cowlick jutting out of the front. The enraged expression on Colossus’s face is right on target, and captures well the anger of a man forced to spend his life suffering personal loss after loss on the battlefield.

I know I mentioned that this is only Colossus’s second real spin in Hasbro ML, and while his first figure featured a very different costume, there is some reuse here, and it makes sense.
