Thankfully, Hasbro has seen fit to include a very different Goblin Queen as part of this X-Men 97 Legends lineup, so Jean’s clone can finally join our shelves in 6” form. High quality, realistic 6-inch Legends Series Nightcrawler figure is a great addition to any fan, or collector action figure collection. It has been some time since we saw a Nightcrawler figure, and this one comes with updated articulation, deco, two head sculpts, and swappable hands. There’s one anomalous glob of red paint on my figure’s white right hand, so I’m going to exchange mine when I have the opportunity. This is definitely an animated-style action figure of Madelyne, but I’m thrilled to get her nonetheless.

Hasbro has been servicing X-Men fans like never before the last few years, and so it was only a matter of time until they got around to releasing everyone’s favorite fuzzy elf himself—Nightcrawler! This second bit isn’t a huge problem, as it looks like maybe they’re concealed behind his bottom lip, but I don’t think that was the intention. Hasbro is unlikely to redo many of these molds used for this figure anytime soon for that reason, so hopefully they got them right! I was a big fan of his growing up, mainly because he looked cool and I thought teleportation would be one of the best mutant powers to have. There is some excellent definition in his facial details, the bushy eyebrows look like they’re judging me a bit.and the sword not being able to be held tightly, but this is a wonderful Nightcrawler Marvel Legends figure overall. There’s a little slop from his fangs onto his bottom lip, and there isn’t any white paint on his lower row of teeth. The fuzzy blue elf lost his sword from the previous release, but still has alternate hands and an extra head.

All three heads look like they popped straight out of some classic Dave Cockrum artwork, and I am totally pleased with the look of them all. The teeth have a little slop that I don’t notice in hand but becomes more obvious with close up photos. The X-Men are back as Marvel Studios starts to integrate this band of heroes into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

X-Cutioner is legitimately not a character I ever considered asking for a modern 6” figure of, even though there was a whole 90s X-Men crossover story titled after him. With the Marvel Legends Series, fans and collectors can start a legendary collection of comic- and entertainment-based Marvel characters.While Nightcrawler wasn’t part of either Jim Lee X-Men Team (he was on the roster of Excalibur at the time), he’s a universally loved character that fans will want a figure of from that same era. With the Marvel Legends Series, both kid and adult Marvel fans and collectors can start a legendary collection of comic- and entertainment-based Marvel characters. Fans can enjoy this 6-inch-scale Marvel’s Nightcrawler figure, inspired by the character from the Marvel X-Men comics. There are butterfly swivels, but they unfortunately aren’t able to really add anything since the tunic is blocking them.

They may well put the grey Uncanny X-Force costume in there since that costume was actually worn by AOA Nightcrawler. As for articulation, Hasbro graced Nightcrawler with one of the more poseable bodies, which includes the lateral crunches on the shoulders.

My favorite thing about this figure is actually the fact that it comes with three—count ‘em, three—unique head sculpts! In addition to two extra heads and an extra right hand, Nightcrawler comes with his swashbuckling sword. I have some trivial complaints about there being no teleportation accessories included, the tail being sort of loose (and not bendy! It is Comic Book accurate and has very well crafted and artistic features plus two head accessories in the package. I think some artists tended to draw Kurt with more aquiline nose or stronger jaw, but these portraits feel like a better match for Cockrum’s work on the original Nightcrawler mini-series or the above mentioned McGuinness.
