About this deal

The AOC 24G2 is a much better gaming monitor than the Samsung Odyssey G3 S24AG30, but they use different panel types. It's good for general office use as long as you don't do any heavy multitasking because it's limited in screen real estate. The AOC 24G2 was one of the best budget gaming monitor available thanks to its smooth performance, great image quality, plenty of useful features and excellent design quality.

JOYSTICK A joystick is an input device that control a character or machine in a computer program, such as a plane in a flight simulator. The Gigabyte is a more versatile monitor because its larger screen and higher pixel density are better suited for productivity and media consumption. Not much of an issue though, as you're probably only going to tweak a few things and then leave it for the rest of its life. The AOC 24G2U's 144 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms MPRT and FreeSync support eliminate stuttering and tearing. Make sure the power button is ON and the Power Cord is properly connected to a grounded power outlet and to the monitor.Overall though, colour depth, brightness and response time are all very positive, size is great, and it comes with the DisplayPort cable you need to connect to if you need 144Hz. The AOC has a faster refresh rate, and a significantly faster response time, resulting in clearer motion with less blur behind fast-moving objects. The Samsung monitor has a higher 240Hz refresh rate compared to the 144Hz refresh rate of the AOC, but the AOC still has better motion handling. However, MBR introduces screen flicker, which is invisible to the human eye but can cause headaches to those sensitive to flickering after prolonged use. Forget graphical frills: this mode rewires the monitor in favour of raw response time, giving the ultimate edge in hair trigger stand offs.

The AOC has a slightly faster response time and a better Black Frame Insertion feature, and it's a bit brighter.

Ha un input lag eccezionale per un IPS (inferiore ai 4ms), e una latenza G2G regolabile attraverso la funzione Overdrive (fondamentale per il gaming). The AOC has a 24" screen with a 1080p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Gigabyte has a 27" screen with a 1440p resolution and 170Hz refresh rate. Ultra fast 1ms response time and impressive 144Hz refresh rate diminish distractions like blurring and ghosting that can mean the difference between victory and defeat. For professional use, there are better color-critical displays, of course, but for basic content creation, the AOC 24G2 will do just fine.
