About this deal

This elegant Champagne with fruit and floral notes is a traditional blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay and pairs excellently with Asian food and shellfish Grown in the iconic region of Épernay, Champagne. A grower champagne means that all the grapes in the wine came from the producer’s own property, unusual in this region of big brands. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process.

Underlying this pale pink rosé is a delightful biscuity note, partly thanks to three years of ageing and the high proportion of chardonnay in the blend. He holds the WSET Level 2 in wine, a Level 3 in spirits and has a particular interest in agave spirits.Fans of an aperol spritz can put champagne to good use in a sparkling aperitivo spritz during summer. Although most loved the delicate rose petal and raspberry notes in this bottle, for others it was just a bit too subtle.

Up next, we have a bottle from a small grower based in Bouzy, which was, and to some extent still is, known as red wine country. Made using a blend of pinot noir, pinot meunier (both of which are black grapes) and chardonnay, rosé champagne can only be labelled as such if it’s produced in the Champagne region of France. From here on in, keep the bottle pointed away from yourself and anyone present, especially people's faces – about a 45 degree angle is good.Despite being a brut or “dry” style (like all the wines in this round-up), on test we detected a whiff of sweet strawberry. Once this is done, grip the neck of the bottle in one hand with your thumb over the top of the caged cork. The resulting wines – low in alcohol and high in acidity – are not yet delicious but perfect for turning into sparkling wine. There’s a reason pink fizz is popular for special occasions, with lighter styles complementing oysters and richer ones pairing well with lobster (or even a humble plate of fish and chips). Our panel was looking for a well-balanced, aromatic fizz, with lively bubbles and juicy summer fruit flavours.

The region Champagne has a climate very similar to southern England so these precious grapes don’t get terribly ripe. TASTING NOTES Extra dry, this sparkling wine is best served as an aperitif, with seafood and to celebrate life's spacial moments. That mousse is the fizz escaping, and in excess, leaves you with a flat drink, and nobody wants that.Rooted in French history and created using the méthode champenoise, it is a traditional blend of three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Whether you're celebrating, or just because, a glass of rosé champagne is a great way to toast a special occasion (and particularly suited to Valentine's Day. Classic with a modern twist, it boasts a blush colour and well-structured flavour profile with fine, long lasting bubbles and hints of orange. Enjoy this one on its own – it's almost too delicious to drink with food – so you can appreciate the flavours and silky mouthfeel. These champagne glasses have a smoked grey tinted finish that add a modern touch to their classic fluted design.
