At first, the H seemed like a real jerk who had no special feelings for the H aside from attraction and a need to legitimize his children. I must say that Nic is the darkest hero yet written by this author,he suffered severe emotional and physical trauma from his mother which colored his views on life and love. With the arrangement set, the two will marry for the castle… but will they kill each other before the six months is up?Thought I was going to hurl with all the cruelty and letting this lovely heroine who carried and birthed his twins think she was an unloved nuisance. starts divorce proceedings and even more, takes his dog that she loved, with him and wants her out of the home they were living in…. Both the hero and heroine had bad upbringings, which is sad, yet their experiences from their childhood is what initially brings them together and makes their marriage work at first.
