About this deal

Chocolate Cocker Spaniels are a beautiful reddish-chocolate brown, often referred to as 'liver' coloured. im a bit confused or are these just puppy farms or breeders with a few litters advertising in the same colum? A fellow breeder has tried to register chocolate and tan in the last week and had the registration refused due to the colour no longer being recognised. i got the happiest dog in the world i think, ive never herd her growl at anyone only shadows and things . If chocolate and tan is a color you love, and you'd like to keep it through this mess, if you breed to a black/tan dog that does not carry a 'b' brown allele, then all your pups will be black/tan, and it is a guarantee they will carry that 'b' allele (gifted from your bitch).

They may even appear to be almost completely one color with only small splotches of a second color strewn in. We also love dogs and have committed to donating 10% of any profits to the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People which we are especially passionate about supporting. If abroad at a show and taking pictures, please ask the owners of the rarer colours if our Club may display their dogs picture as an example.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). inches by 11 inches, printed on bright white paper and single-sided making them easy to remove for display. For fans of Spaniels, we do have a specific Springer Spaniel colouring book for adults or why not try our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel adult colouring book. So that includes animal loving kids over 10, teenagers, girls, boys, women, men, adults, grown-ups and seniors.

She’s always had a cat in her home and has spent countless days with others, observing behaviors and softening up even the grouchiest of the lot. The Kennel Club have recently amended their colours for registering cocker spaniel puppies and have removed the popular Chocolate and Tan colouring from their approved list of colours. This is recessive to black (or its diluted form which is chocolate) and as well it is recessive to sable in your breed. If I read correctly, you tried this and got all chocolate/tan pups last time - which means the chocolate dog you bred to carried chocolate/tan and or red-buff-cream 'e', which is also recessive in single allele form, and the odds worked out that ALL the pups got the recessive a't' allele from both him AND from your dam. Varieties of Roan are Blue Roan, Liver Roan, Orange Roan and Lemon Roan and there are Darker and Lighter versions of this colouring effect. Dogs with roaning or ticking are born with clear, open white markings which fill in with flecking in the subsequent weeks and continue to darken with age.

Some people preferred a solid coloured dog because they felt it was better camouflaged when quartering game, which would then be more likely to "sit" steady until flushed by the dog at the command of his handler.

If the mother's colouring is a recessive colour, and the sire's colour is dominant over that, then the pups will show the sire's colouring but will be 'carrying' the mother's recessive colour which may show up in their own litters.
