About this deal

A negative shim will throw the line of the door off with the dummy drawer face that is above it and the reveal of the filler. We opted to go with the cabinet door restraints because I read that there are some issues with the hinge restrictor clips only being compatible with certain types of hinges. The high quality finish on the arm will add a decorative feature to your door and prevent the restrictor from rusting. Also, the trash pull-out can't be moved any further to the right because of the plumbing for the sink. Check out our video showing exactly how we used cabinet door restraints to keep our cabinet doors from hitting each other!

I'm sure there are some other options for a restrictor but I can't just think of what the technical name for them is at the moment, it would have a slide bar mounted to back of the door and not look the best and also be a little more expensive than just using a small chain as a restrictor. You don’t want your cabinet doors to hit each other because it can damage the door or the knob and will also make a surprisingly loud noise.

I have been using the inserts and the plates with the cams and nylon dowels ever since they were introduced. I can’t wait to fix it but will require rebuilding the porch deep enough to accommodate the inward swing. When using cabinet restraint wires, take time to figure out exactly how wide you want the doors to open. However, hinge restrictor clips are completely invisible once installed and just look like part of the hinge, so if that is important to you, these may be a good option. Once fitted safely and securely, they allow for smooth open-and-close action - essential for such an important area in the home.

Must the landing be absolutely the same height as the internal floor, or is there any leeway for a drop down to the landing? I have, like an idiot, created so many designs that have doors banging into appliances or columns or adjacent doors.I considered swapping the hinges for blum or hafele ones, but because these aren't standard hinges, I'm not sure the holes in the door will match exactly, so would be much easier to just find a separate cupboard stay.

Just make sure that they fit a restrictor So the door doesn’t open to far damaging the hinges and sash. i was hoping something simple to install that does not require routing of the actual door (since this is made of cheap MDF and is unlikely to router very well - and in any case I don't have a router! All you need is a drill and a cabinet door restraint kit and you can have this fixed in 5 minutes flat!Lead times are shown on the product and trolley pages and are always advertised in working days (Monday to Friday). I thought they made a restrictor which you can screw on the door and cabinet to stop the door opening so far. Designed to limit door opening prior to allowing entrance to visitors, it is easily applied and released when the door is closed.
