About this deal

Despite all the high action, the story is a bit plodding at times, but by the end it all kind of comes together in something pretty cool. I did get my biggest laugh out of a Lone Sloane story yet: there's a scene when Sloane and his second in command are talking about how nigh impossible it will be to get their ship launched, how it probably won't succeed, what should they do? The imprint was DC’s home for mature tales that were often horror-themed or otherwise dark in nature. Sloane found himself in Shaan's crosshairs in the previous entry, thus adding significant stakes to the story here.

F. avec une nouvelle aventure de Lone SloaneLone Sloane est toujours bloqué sur Delirius la bien nommée, lieu de plaisir à l'échelle galactique. His protagonist, Lone Sloane, is some kind of antihero, a warlord only intrested in himself and how he can rule the galaxies and are the instument of some dark Gods. In 2010, he realized that he didn't have much equipment, therefore he bought a (Canon EOS 550D) digital reflex and this is when he discovered photography! Kirby was allegedly once heard to say that he was a fan of Druillet, and I can readily believe that. But Druillet isn't one for simplicity and indeed the plot of "Delirius" takes several winding turns along the way. When caught in a game of deceit and lies on the universe’s epicenter of pleasure Planet Delerious, the story only becomes increasingly epic in scope with each trot across the phenomenally vast landscape and its decadent environs.

Philippe Druillet was only rarely effective at explaining his ideas in anything other than abstract ways. This series explores the representation of the body through the photographic lens, raising questions and emotions.Deeply crisped in the zeitgeist of the 70’s, the psychedelic feel of the era resonates across all areas of storytelling.
