About this deal

Yes, I can understand that there should be some other characters in all stories but in one of the stories iggle piggle only appears for a few mins. Five episodes of the CBeebies pre-school series narrated by Derek Jacobi, which takes children on an imaginative journey through the night garden, encountering its funny and lovable residents including Upsy Daisy, Igglepiggle, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos, the Pontipines and the Haahoos. All these characters and more (including the Wottingers, Tittifers, and the Haahoos ) live in the night garden.

My Grandson just adores it, he has his favourite parts and at not yet 2 already knows how to fast forward. The Tombliboos are having fun in the garden but, whatever they do, their trousers keep on falling down. The peaceful wooded surroundings of the Night Garden is the perfect pyjama tonic for children to wind down towards bedtime. Surely ragdoll could find better suited stories for what is after all the main protaganist within "in the night garden".In the Night Garden has been filmed in a real woodland setting using High Definition technology to create a compelling and fully immersive experience for young viewers. Everyone is enjoying a ride on the Pinky Ponk, but Tombliboo Ooo is more interested in drinking all the Pinky Ponk juice. is a thoroughly modern interpretation of a nursery rhyme picture book, and takes children on an imaginative journey to meet a host of wonderfully silly characters, like Igglepiggle, living together within a happy and caring community. It is only relatively short in duration - although it doesn't seem so when you're having to wait for it to end - but it is completely out of character in terms of what you expect to see on ITNG. Be it the Tomliboos or the Pontipines, the love goes around-lots of hugs between the bigger characters and the sweet safety in numbers in the bedroom sharing Pontipine families.

In our family we always watch all children programs together with our children, and do the same with this. The Tombliboos are inside their bush, happily practicing their music so loudly that it can be heard all over the garden. My son was clearly disapointed with this DVD as he has now shown more affection for Makka Pakka and does not wish to see this DVD as much as the one First bought for him ("Who's Here") even though it one features one story for each main character.BBFC: Release Date: 10/05/2007 Run Time: 140 minutes Languages: English Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English Hard of Hearing DVD Regions: Region 2 Formats: Pal Aspect Ratio: Widescreen 1. He loves dancing and 'singing' and copies what he sees on screen, there are also parts which help with counting. I am sure they have a point, if tellywatching is taken to an extreme-but at this day and age, surely parents are clever enough NOT to make the telly a baby-sitter. Having previously bought my 11 month old son the "who's Here" DVD and him developing igglepiggle as his favorite character, I was a bit disapointed that although the main body of the stories are about him there is also a vast chunk of other characters in these five stories. The nonsens language has had it's fair share of critisism, as indeed has the whole show, lot's of people (experts, parents and the general public) have all aired views that "baby-telly" could be harmful.

I also bought the hello everybody box set fro xmas which does contain this dvd so I gave that other copy of this to keep at his Gran’s, bonus!I and my baby love it both-the colourscheme is fantastic-bright without beeing garish and still so peaceful. This landmark children's series from the team behind Teletubbies is specially created to appeal to young children. Seller has stated it will dispatch the item within 1 working day upon receipt of cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab . This is a dvd with no less than 140 minutes of Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka in all sorts of low-key shenanigans. It really is so nice- a fantastic alternative to the brain-numbing Teletubbies of the 90's, THEY were really scary!

Episodes comprise: 'Makka Pakka's Stone Concert', 'Runaway Og-pog', 'Makka Pakka's Present', 'Makka Pakka Gets Lost' and 'Washing the Haahoos'. Upsy Daisy enjoys singing and dancing, the Tomblibbos like to brush their teeth and enjoy playing on the drums. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I don’t let him watch tv all day but it is nice to be able to put something on for an hour that he really enjoys and keeps him occupied while I’m cooking dinner for us both or get a little house work done! In the Night Garden is produced by Ragdoll Productions and has been created by Andy Davenport and Anne Wood, who last collaborated together on Teletubbies. There are lots of different episodes to choose from so he doesn’t have to watch the same one over and over again.
