The first, The Sisters Strange, involves the theft of rare coins: Charlie is hired to keep a watchful eye on Dolors Strange, who may be tangled up with one of the thieves.Kepler sees and feels himself rotting away as he reads decades-old newspapers, so maybe finding that precious coin will cure what ails him. Connolly is a master at combining the thriller with the supernatural, creating stories that are guaranteed to keep the chills coming while gluing the reader to the page. These characters become real to the reader and Connolly is one of the best suspense novelist (maybe the best).
