About this deal

Overall, I think three stars is a realistic review - it’s fine, and children would find it entertaining, but if you are looking for a new classic, I would look eslewhere. These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. This book had everything one expects from a David Walliams book; a fantastic story, wonderful characters, and a great message for young readers. Whatever one can do, she will most likely do it better, simpler and quicker once she puts her mind to it.

The lessons are appalling, the school dinners are revolting and the teachers are terrifying - especially the mysterious Science teacher Doctor Doktur. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. In David's brand new novel Megamonster, heroine Larker discovers something dangerous in the heart of the Cruel School - science teacher's Doctor Doktur's Monsterfication Machine. She kept asking sensible questions like why a girl climbing up a drainpipe was suddenly on the ground, how a child who hadn’t eaten in days could stay up night after night without getting tired, or why she was suddenly best friends with a boy she met briefly at one breakfast?I prefer his books that have a more tangled story such as The ice monster, The Beast of Buckingham Palace, even Code Name Bananas but maybe because I like the history element being thrown into them. He has gone on to take the children’s literary world by storm, dominating sales charts and twice winning the National Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year. Megamonster is an action-packed page-turning adventure, set on an island in the middle of shark-infested waters – where the Cruel School stands on top of a dormant volcano. Megamonster is an action-packed page-turning adventure from David Walliams, packed with brilliant illustrations by Tony Ross. I don't know about you but the way he plays with the greys on his palette makes them so incredibly detailed.

Parker’s only friend, the gardener, gets turned in a huge, masculine bogey, who is so sticky that he sticks to all of the other monsters, and they make the mega monster! We use Google Analytics to see what pages are most visited, and where in the world visitors are visiting from. Only downside to it is that it has a lot of different characters to keep up with/remember who's who but, honestly, this just gave me an excuse to do even more daft voices for each person! Okay, I'm going to be kind with this one, I'm an adult reading a book intended for young kids and the one thing which irritated me is probably entertaining for children. We are experiencing delays with deliveries to many countries, but in most cases local services have now resumed. It's set in a fantastical world that Walliams is great at inventing and filling with a menagerie of characters.

I know adults may review this in regards to if a child would enjoy it, but I'm reviewing it as an adult reading it. Young readers get to read a wonderful book that is a little bit rude, a whole lot of fun, and totally addictive. This is the first David Walliams book I’ve read, and after hearing nothing but praise for his previous books, I was excited to finally give it a go. The stories themselves are always well thought out and spark the imagination, and David Walliams does create unique characters and brings each of them to life. I’m sure kids will enjoy reading it, but I expect a higher standard for quality literature, be it for kis, YA or adults.

For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin. I think this about the 18th book by Mr Walliams that I've read and it is as good as any of the others. In 2008 David’s first children’s book The Boy in the Dress was published, illustrated by Quentin Blake.

This magical story of bravery will convince little girls that courage does not differentiate gender.
