Our Delivery Terms and Costs
Delivery on all UK orders is FREE regardless of the number of items purchased as long as the minimum spend is £29.00 - * furniture & bulky items (see further note). Generally, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery which can be tracked on-line and which we have found to be a very reliable service.
Orders less than £29.00 are charged at the flat rate of £5.90 (UK only delivery).
All deliveries to UK addresses will be sent within 48 hours via Royal Mail Special Delivery, 1st class next day service or via courier service. All UK deliveries will require a signature on receipt.
*Furniture and heavier items will be dispatched by courier and we will send you tracking details and information at the point of dispatch.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT DELIVER TO PO BOXES.
All deliveries overseas will be sent via Royal Mail International Signed For. Please note that these may be subject to additional custom security checks and import duties (which will be borne by the customer).
Minimum delivery charge for overseas will be £15.00
International Signed For can be used for Europe and Worldwide.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Items ordered before 12 noon on any business day (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays should be delivered within 48 hours (excluding Saturday), anytime up to 5.30 p.m. (assuming that the item is in stock).
Orders taken on Friday (after 1.00 p.m.), Saturday or Sunday will normally be dispatched on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) for delivery on Tuesday. Orders taken on Friday before 1.00 p.m. will normally be despatched on Friday or Saturday for delivery on Monday.
However, Jewels and Gemstones relies upon the services of third party couriers, and whilst we endeavour to 'keep our word' there are unfortunately a few occasions when the couriers fail to perform the service that they are required to. This happens rarely, but because it does occur, albeit occasionally, we cannot be held responsible for the late delivery of an item. For the avoidance of doubt Jewels and Gemstones will not refund the delivery charge if the courier has failed to deliver the item(s) on the anticipated date.
HOW TO TRACK YOUR PARCEL
Once you have placed an order, you will receive an email confirmation with an order ID that the order is being processed. By using the order status link on our site you can track the progress of your order. If the goods are damaged upon receipt please e-mail us within 24 hours of delivery.
