Getting your children to finally nod off the night before arguably the biggest day of the year is no mean feat, but we’re here to help.

As a child, for me, it was always about the build-up to Christmas Eve, not 'how many sleeps 'til Christmas Day'. Do you know how to improve your language skills❓ All you have to do is have your writing corrected by a native speaker! My darling gal, I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well :( I wish I was closer to you, or that I had a private jet! The young people are all getting really excited now and ringing regularly to update us with how they are preparing. Not only that, reading with your child helps improve their concentration and teaches them skills that will be beneficial for years to come, so it's a great addition to your child's bedtime routine.

but I still find a nostalgic happiness in marking my countdown in terms of the numbers of “sleeps” left to go. I can't remember if I mailed it, but I can't find it in my work tote, so please let me know if you got anything from me. It does seem very childish to say, '[So] many sleeps to [whatever]', and it hurts my ears, but if a child's used to that terminology what does it matter? Oh honey, don't you worry for one minute about keeping up the blog right now, you take care of you and make sure you're rested up for next week!
