Marcos coordinates all production, from cane field to pot still, and is constantly seeking out ways to improve their our organic farming and distillation methods. Their small-batch distillation process uses a traditional copper pot still, which ensure that they retain as much flavour as possible. Abelha Organic Cachaca 70cl is a full-flavoured artisanal cachaça from a small distillery in the highlands of Bahia, Brasil.

The estate is located in Rio De Contas – a small town set amongst the hills and valleys on the edge of the majestic Chapada Diamantina – where they met Marcos Vaccaro, a visionary and an expert in all things organic. At 1,200 metres altitude, the estate is ideal for Cachaça production, as the temperature differential between day and night produces sugar cane that retains its natural sugars. The other important differnce is that rum is usually aged in sherry or bourbon casks and Cachaca is often aged in native Brazilian wooden barrels.
