Leave a thin layer of gel on the skin and simply allow it to be absorbed by your skin – this can take about 10 minutes. Avoid storing medicines in a bathroom cabinet or near a radiator, as temperature and humidity fluctuations may affect their potency. This is due to the beta-glucan found within them as it stimulates the production of collagen which, smooths out any fine lines and wrinkles. It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos.
