Even without the words there are such funny expressions and moments shown, and the way everyone looks, especially that thing that Batpig has to defeat in the last story was so funny to see. The stories are all so much funnier though and there are a few places I found myself laughing aloud at how silly things got. Gary’s origin story is woven in to two individual adventures, both of which are bursting with silliness and an abundance of pig puns. Carl's mother had my daughter cracking up all day (I won't ruin her great nickname for her son, but we've been saying it all day around here. Gary Yorkshire and his friends Brooklyn and Carl are in maths class learning fractions which seems to be taking forever. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! Batpig is in terrible danger, and just when something is going to happen, the story flicks to a flashback, upping the tension and excitement. All of the stories are about Batpig although I do like the story about one of Gary’s friends Carl the fish.

It was the same superhero outfit, but as time went on, I realized there weren’t a ton of groan-worthy hamster puns, so I started dabbling with different animals.With the support of his best friends, Brooklyn the bat and Carl the fish, he finally feels like he’s getting a handle on this whole superhero business.
