About this deal

He is told to work leads from behind the scenes, as he previously showed stalker tendencies toward the son of one of the victims.

I was truly too stunned to speak given everything else I had known throughout the entirety of the story. But as they re drawn into a network of corruption, lies and exploitation, every step brings them closer to grim secrets hidden at the heart of their community. This is a novel about revenge and it’s very justified too, given what those who are horribly murdered in this book inflicted upon their helpless victims. The author's utilization of short, engaging chapters is highly effective at drawing readers into this mystifying tale of abuse and murder. Thankfully there are no explicit scenes, but there's no sugarcoating that the book prominently features a pedophile. And for those who most need to read it — those in a position to effect change in the lives of conscientious and talented teachers who are considering abandoning the profession — one can only hope that its message will be heeded before it is too late.

We also learn that there is a massive conspiracy of silence in the area much wider than the drama here and I’m assuming the next book will address the many questions that are still to have an answer. I think it will divide opinion on whether or not some of the more violent aspects of it are there for the sake of it rather than adding to the story - hmm - one way, or another way, every reader will think for themselves. He has been teamed with DS Imogen Grey, who also has a troubled past and has just been relocated from her previous police force.

He strives to share great teaching practice, to save you time and to ensure you are the best teacher you can be, whatever the new policy or framework. The Teachers is a must read… It’s an extraordinary work that combines broad scope, tight focus, telling details, and the voices of dozens and dozens of actual teachers. I am a little confused as to why this is the Detective Imogen Grey series, as it seems it is as much about her partner Adrian Miles as it is about her. Each is recovering from career damaging incidents each coping with major physiological issues but both highly capable investigators. About 16% in there's a fairly graphic scene, and thinking back on it, it kind of makes me want to puke, but the rest are sort of left to your imagination. Much of what happens in a classroom is highly variable and hard to define, but over the last 10 years a wealth of books has sought to draw together evidence from other fields and provide a series of “best bets” on what might have the greatest impact on student learning. Look there is no doubt this author knows how to give us a shocking twist, but this one is very much 'what's good for the goose is good for gander' and I just couldn't believe it.

It's not like I have anything to worry about, and I know things like this probably really do happen more often than we know, but this is very inappropriate behavior.Once again, she has produced a thriller that absolutely smacks you in the face with a jaw dropping final twist of all twists. I eagerly look forward to reading the next addictive book by the author, including the third book of Millie the Housemaid. If anything was to make me put the book down, it would have been dog torture, and it literally terrified me.
