Vertical DPCs should be provided to connect horizontal DPCs where ground levels change and to isolate untreated wall areas (adjoining properties, garden walls etc. These ground salts are hygroscopic and naturally absorb and hold moisture causing the walls to become highly saturated, contaminating plaster, and causing the skirting boards to decay and rot as they are against damp walls. To complicate matters, as capillary action draws moisture up through the wall it picks up “salts” which are naturally present in ground water and in masonry. No Hydro high strength damp proofing cream is injected into the mortar course between the brick course via 12mm holes created to treat affected walls.

Squeeze the gun and trigger and back fill each hole fully with DampSolve cream to within one centimetre of the surface.
