About this deal

Removing the top panel of the case is revolutionary, as you have a button at the back of the case that 'ejects' it.

The case comes with three 140mm Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP14 fans, designed to provide superlative airflow with minimal noise. i also wish to put fans on the top ofc for ventilation, i dont mind the aesthetics of either on the top. Key features - Optimized for silence with high-density industrial dampening on side, top and front panels - USB 3.

Founded in 1992 to target the emerging mobile computing market, Clove Technology has grown and adapted into what you see today. That’s cooler than any case we’ve run that test on except the Silverstone RL06, including the DB Pro 900 and DB 700. I had a few extra 140s and 120s lying around and purchased a few extra to give myself a total of 5 x 140mm + 4 x 120mm fans. The area which houses the hot spot sensor is on the back of the card around the core and even a small amount of air across it makes a difference, as in 80C+ to ~65. As you can see from the photos I managed to fit the additional 2 drive cage between main hard drive compartment and the power supply.

Relative to other cases, it fared better than it did in Firestrike, but still not enough to compete with the two be quiet! So what I did I purchased another four R6 drive trays as well as a two drive cage from Fractal Define C.We recently validated our test methodology using a thermal chamber, finding our approach to be nearly perfectly accurate. Despite mostly blocked by the PSU shroud, the bottom 120mm still contributes some airflow - felt it by hand using speedfan to adjust speed settings. I know not everyone can implement a backup strategy like the above; but if you can, you should consider it. Gen 2 Type-C with Fast Charging support and up to 10Gbps transfer speeds - Reversible front door with anodized aluminum cover and dual-handed mounting system for adaptability with elegance - Nine fan positions with intuitive layout and clear airflow paths offer massive cooling capacity - Nexus+ Smart Hub offers superior fan control of six additional case fans and three PWM devices via your motherboard - Three silent, airflow-optimized Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 140 mm fans come pre-installed, ensuring optimal airflow via two intake fans and a single exhaust - Extensive water cooling support with room for up to a 420 mm radiator in the top, 360 mm in the front, and 280 mm in the base - Power supply shroud and Modular Storage Plate conceal HDD trays and excess cabling for a clean, clutter-free interior - Third generation ModuVent(tm) technology gives users the choice between a soundproof steel cover or filtered multi-fan ventilation in the top panel - Easy-to-clean high airflow nylon filters on the front, top, and base with full PSU coverage and front access for convenience - Modular Storage Plate lets users easily convert between the Standard Layout for maximum storage capacity or the new Open Layout for superior water cooling support and clear air flow paths - Vertical 2. This value subtracts the thermo-logged ambient value from the measured diode temperatures, producing a delta report of thermals.

The top fan mount is different on the Define 7, you can remove it completely to be more confortable working on the case (the R6 one comes off completely as well but the "front bracket" remains attached to the case, don't know how to explain actually).

Thermal benchmarking is conducted for 1400 seconds (23 minutes), a period we've determined sufficient for achieving equilibrium. Prior to load testing, we collect idle temperature results for ten minutes to determine the unloaded cooling performance of a case's fans and air channels. Designed from the ground up, the Define R6 goes beyond iteration with a profound stride of innovation – a sizeable step forward from preceding models of the world-renowned Define Series. GN’s Steve may think rubber grommets are a waste of money, but Fractal’s have a clever zig-zag pattern that allows small cables to be routed subtly.
