Another great novel that didn’t disappoint and I’m already eagerly looking forward to Fremantle’s next book. It seems totally unaware of the fact that the viewer brings their own interests to the work, as in any art form.

It brought the world that this artist struggled in to full life and showed how she continued to rise to make a name for herself eventually.

Fremantle’s characterizations and descriptions of life in 17th-century Rome are word paintings as vivid as Artemisia’s, and the gripping, well-constructed plot will captivate historical-fiction and suspense readers from the first page.
