DraughtEx is a proven floorboard gap filler which is designed to reduce cold draughts created by the gaps between your floorboards and improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home. I laid it across the floorboards and just overlapped it a bit then laid the underlay and then the carpet. Solid floors don’t really tend to have draught issues associated with them, but suspended timber floors are definitely worth tackling.
