You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!

You work through several lessons over the course of days, weeks, or months depending on your choice, and slowly build your witch's cabinet while exploring some aspects of hedgecraft. I think it may appeal to some of Grimdark Magazine’s readers as lighter escapism but if they are looking for a gritty, twisted, and morally ambiguous novella then this is not the choice to make. In the days of mass production and rather generic feeling tomes with zero feeling of nostalgia, this is a much-welcomed find. com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US.There have definitely been titles published in the 30yrs since this that would be more valuable on that topic, but it was interesting for the time capsule it provides.

While slightly hetero-normative and dated, the book is a worthwhile read, but not a must-have for all witches. I'm not pursuing Wicca myself, but Rae Beth's approach to "hedge witchcraft" is in line with mysticism, and I found that my own ideas were influenced to a great degree by this strange little book. This is a great introduction to Wicca, but also a great introduction to how to set up a ritual, how to perform spell work, and how to track your growth through the use of a Book of Shadows. She whispers to us, " Remove the line that lies between you and the hills, lakes, rivers, oceans" And she is by our side as we follow her whispers. The values and ethics of this most ancient tradition may surprise and delight with their blend of common sense, compassion and wildness.

The practical exercises she provided allows the reader to forge a stronger relationship with nature and its profound wisdom, which is something I certainly aspire to. As the book says "Her lyrical letters, accompanied by delicate pen-and-ink sketches, bring the reader towards a deeper understanding of the solitary witch's lifestyle and beliefs". This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).Written in the form of letters from an experienced witch to her two apprentices, solitary witchcraft is offered, not as a substitute for coven worship, but as a fulfulling lifestyle in its own right. It's important to note that not all witches believe, worship, or include deities in their practice and this is valid.
