Whilst the Pathfinders aren’t a new kit, they are still brilliant sculpts and the upgrade sprue only adds to his awesome and high tech these guys can look. These points can then be spent on a variety of stuff including to perform rerolls, free critical hits and heal operatives. Other than parts that are a Punishing Vantage Point, all parts of them have the Heavy and Scalable trait. Love the aesthetics of these, as they are formatted in each of the factions unique ways through the use of imagery and fonts.

This is most evident if the enemy is on one of the two vantage points of the killzone, as the height advantage they provide is substantial enough that brutal volleys can indiscriminately gun down those not in Cover. The Defender scores 1VP for every 2 terrain features that do not have a sensor array attached to them.It’s hard to imagine that they won’t get put into some kind of compendium or something down the line, since it’d be pretty weird for a box to sell out and no more players be able to play Novitiates for lack of rules, but we have no indication of such a thing yet or any idea how regular it’ll be. We’ve otherwise only seen these for Howling Banshees and Incubi, which suggests a similar kind of thing – those are in power armour, kind of, but they’re lighter in weight class than a Space Marine or Battle Sister so the slightly smaller base suits them better. What that means is that the box is not essential as the only way to get the stuff inside, at least in model terms. It goes through the various factions that take part in this conflict, and sometimes gives us a hint of what rules and updates we could be getting soon.

Destroyed Objectives: Each objective marker is set up under a pillar that is part of a terrain feature in this kill zone. In addition, for each of the free actions it performs, it cannot perform them again during its activation. The intended target is within of a point at which a Cover line crosses another operative’s base (unless that other operative is not itself in the active operative’s LoS), or a terrain feature that provides Cover (see Terrain Traits).
