Mulching is suitable where the grass is mown regularly and not left too long between cuts where the mower might struggle mulching longer clippings. My mate has an ergopower 56v thing, that is certainly more powerful, if I were getting just garden tools and wasn't already invested in a system, i'd probably get that (the leaf blower is worse than the makita 36v one, but the chainsaw is a little better than the makita 36v). The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. If the motor can fully utilise the 5Ah batteries, I suspect it would go a long way towards solving the lack of torque.

Due to my petrol mowers engine dieing my front lawn was well over grown but this makita mower managed to do the job great. The 43cm cutting width can be adjusted in height over 13 positions from 20mm to 75mm with a central lever for easy control. Our lawn is pretty tiny (maybe 200 square meters) and if it's not trying to take too much off it'll do it on one charge with our much abused 10 year-old 3Ah batteries (which are probably more like 2Ah these days! The only negative point is that you can't simply fold down the bar, but first have to loosen the screws on the side.
Due to having always petrol mowers in the past this was cool as with petrol its fill up prime and pull some times till your arms hert like hell to start (gather a lot of us have done that ) Well no more slip in the batteries and press in safety button and squeeze handle and away you go. This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. I'm not overly concerned about losing the stripes on this garden as it's mostly a kids playground rather than ornamental but one problem with that is it get's cut as and when the kids want to use it. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied. To claim the full warranty a registration form may need to be completed - please check the paperwork enclosed with this product when purchased.

The operating handle can be folded over to allow for easy storage when not in use while the 50L collection box can also be removed.
