In short, the subscription product is for wine drinkers wanting to discover new wines and are happy for us to chose for them where the wine club is for those who know what they like and want to have control over which wines they receive.

The nose has a beautiful array of fleshy white peach, lemon curd, jasmine flower, acacia flower, chrysanthemum, and apple blossom, plus notions of yellow plums, green plums, polished steel, and sliced pear. The Dal Bianco family has almost three hundred hectares of vineyards, the majority extend over the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The Italians themselves opt for the dry style and they drink it at noon with a focaccia with spinach or tuna or just as a glass in between. And since being awarded the DOCGarantita status last year (the highest political wine award in the land! The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. The grapes for this sparkling wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand after optimal ripeness has been ensured.

This latter more ‘serious’ style of Prosecco is now gently fizzing again among small artisan producers keen to reveal the true face of their fine terroir; not dissimilar to what’s happened in Champagne in fact, with the emergence of ‘ growers Champagnes’. They also believe in working as sustainably as possible, and this is the first certified organic Prosecco in our range. Prosecco is represented by Masottina’s signature wine: their Contrada Granda Extra Dry, which the magazine gave a staggering 95-point score. The finish of this sparkling wine from the Veneto wine-growing region, or more precisely from Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, impresses with its long finish.

The company was founded in 1946 by grandfather Epifanio Dal Bianco, who laid the foundations to produce excellent wines. Aromas of wisteria, wild flower and citrus lead the way while the dry refreshing palate doles out yellow apple, Bartlett pear and lemon peel. Prosecco is Italy's most famous sparkling wine produced mainly in the wine appellations of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in the region of Veneto which are the only DOC- level zones for ‘Prosecco’. The prosecco's I have tried before have been pretty non-descript, quaffable wines to be drunk with or without food.
