About this deal

We believe it is an unnecessary expense which, in many cases, has the opposite effect to that which is intended. GP referrals commonly did not mention learning disabilities, and hospital ‘flagging’ systems to identify people with learning disabilities who needed reasonable adjustments were limited. Photographic or patterned backgrounds that are too cluttered or detailed will compromise the legibility of the NHS logo. The designs are available as free downloads and donations are being encouraged for the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Appeal.

If the NHS logo needs to appear on a colour photograph, the background needs to be predominantly one colour, clear and uncluttered. If another flag maker claims that sewn flags last longer than MrFlag durable outdoor quality printed flags for the same number of visible flying hours, challenge them to provide the test data! Our flags offer Excellent Value for Money, however, the biggest enemy to a flag are wind, rain, sun and lack of care. The Flag is part of the NHS Spine and healthcare professionals and administrative staff can view, create, add or remove information from the Flag.Whilst this may not be a colour in the NHS palette, if they are the lead organisation in the partnership and the NHS is in a supporting role, their brand identity should dominate.

Louise Hooper, who started the Thank You Flag campaign, said: “I set this up as I wanted to do something tangible to show our support for all the wonderful people working tirelessly on the front line.Corporate flags are ideal for many businesses to promote their brand, including building sites, forecourts, retail and other business premises. Only create a Reasonable Adjustment flag for patients who are identified as disabled under the Equality Act 2010.

It will ensure that details of impairments and other key information (such as communication requirements) are shared consistently across the NHS – with patient consent. However, the Reasonable Adjustment flag is not intended to be a comprehensive repository of all adjustments relevant to a patient.

Do not place the flag where the wind will whip it against rough surfaces, tree branches, wires, cables etc, as this can seriously harm your flag. Under the Equality Act 2010, organisations have a legal duty to make changes in their approach or provision to ensure that services are as accessible to people with disabilities as they are for everybody else. If you need to place the logo over images (usually in the top right corner), ensure the space is clear enough so that the logo can still be easily seen and stands out. Hotjar sets this cookie when a Recording starts and is read when the recording module is initialized, to see if the user is already in a recording in a particular session.

The NHS logo should not be cluttered by other text or images appearing too close to it and should not be positioned so close to the edge of materials that it looks like an afterthought. Roles can be linked to multiple activities - for example, a general practitioner might be able to both view and amend patients' demographic details. Fay Ripley, Katherine Kelly, Stephen Rae, Tom Goodman Hill, Lydia Leonard, Burn Gorman, Julie Graham and Chizzy Akudolu have also downloaded the flag.
