About this deal

As the maroons threatened Spanish commerce and trade, Spanish officials began to fear a maroon takeover of the island. It is also far too long at almost 3 hours long; it could have been told in an 1:50 minutes just as easily. Lakeview was established as a Freedmen's town by a group of African-American runaway slaves and freedmen who immigrated from North Carolina shortly after the War of 1812.
