I'll be wearing my pure perfume to work for a while and seeing how it goes and I'll post more thoughts. After the 3-4 hours it's still there but only those in close proximity to you will smell you, but they still don't have to get too close. This fragrance takes time to get used to and that harsh lemon cleanser opening is the main reason why. If you can get through the lemon heavy opening (like 5 minutes) you get an incredible smoky fragrance. But do note that it is a tiny bit less sweet than Aventus and instead the citrus and smokiness is amped up a tad in this.

The opening was rough to say the least, an overwhelming synthetic lemon- citrus scent that burns your nostrils and makes you regret your purchace within seconds. After I gave the bottle a couple more chances I grew to really like it, especially in the dry down as many others have said. Once it drys down it becomes a pleasant pineapple smell with a bit of woods which is a unique take on the aventus dna.If you enjoy this style of fragrance, be sure to also check out Shaikh No 70 and its very affordable clone Al Rehab Sultan - they offer a similar woody, smoky vibe with added fresh pine and sap notes. I own all three of those, but they've since been reformulated and heavily-diluted, to the point that wearing them is fruitless.

You can have a sensitive and irritated nose to the fragrance and not like it and others can still love it.If you can pay couple more cents, get the Parfum or Al haramain Intense, which is cheaper than CDNIM Parfum. super versatile, smells great, compliment magnet, and performs well in high heat, i’ve been using this as my go-to in japan where the weather is 32° and it performs surprisingly well. I have 3 versions of Club de Nuit Intense Man (Original, Parfum, Limited Edition Parfum) and I love all of them. From the distance they could look similar but once you get a closer look they are clearly differend.

It projects well in the first 4 hours I would say, after that it's really very subtle to me, yet does remain on your clothes days afterwards. The opening of Aventus is my absolute favorite, and this is about 65% similar to to it, the biggest drawback is the “lemon pledge” smell everyone talks about in the opening. Like its brother, it is Citrusy, synthetic, but less alcohol, which makes it more intense and the notes blend better and compliment eachother more. Will try the limited edition next because others say it's a little softer but am very very happy with this.However, after about 4 hours, I feel the need to reapply because the scent is almost like a skin fragrance. It’s not too overwhelming and it’s definitely tolerable, but it does make it clearly different from the real stuff. However, the drydown on the EDT, featuring a juicy smoked pineapple, edges ahead slightly depending on individual preferences. Now, fast forward over 6 months later in batches and we start getting something damned near Aventus. Maybe I am just unlucky I got mine yesterday and tried it but mine just smell lemon zest, that's it.
