Learners will need to be working or have a suitable work placement in an early years care and education setting. This includes those who already hold an EYE qualification, began studying an EYE from September 2014, or will achieve an EYE in the future. The Early Years Alliance offers the diploma through a blended learning programme which includes online teaching sessions, written tasks, online courses, 1-1 reviews and assessment in the workplace.

Students will be visited by an assessor three times during the duration of the course as part of the overall assessment.Please contact the Training Centre for information on course fees, funding eligibility and individual advice and guidance. Upon successful completion of this qualification, you can apply for roles as early year’s practitioner and educator roles in an early year’s settings in which you will be working with children aged from birth to five years of age.

Upon achievement of this qualification learners will gain their licence to practise and it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators. An assessor will also need to sign off any additional evidence that you provide for your assessment relating to your placement. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines. If you need to study maths and English alongside this course, packages are available to study with OSC to allow you to study and achieve the required qualifications alongside this course.

You will need to fully participate in all aspects of the training programme, attend the monthly online teaching session, engage weekly with your assessor and complete tasks by set deadlines. This will enable staff with an EYE qualification and Level 2 English and mathematics qualifications to count in the Level 3 staff: child ratios in childcare settings.This qualification is suitable for those either working or volunteering in early years education and care. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records. You will also study the legislation, frameworks, and professional practice involved in working in an early year’s setting.

From 3 April 2017, the requirement for Level 3 Early Years Educators (EYE) to hold GCSE English and maths A*-C, will be broadened to Level 2 qualifications, including Functional Skills. It enables learners to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Earn 32 UCAS points to support your higher education application if you wish to progress your studies beyond this course.Once you have enrolled on your NCFE CACHE course, you will have access to the NCFE CACHE Alumni membership for two years. Once you have successfully completed your assignments and workplace observations, you will receive your NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).
