I did pick up a bit on the pepper but there is something tick and heavy about the scent that is a bit head-ache inducing. This scent is ok, but I'd prefer to keep this type of scent on a dryer sheet or laundry detergent and not wear it as perfume. It’s actually amazing after it settles on you and your skin, it’s a very clean, inviting, and “fresh out of the shower scent”.

This perfume is definitely only for 1) bedsheets/for sleep perfume 2) the gym 3) spray it in your purse/bag after you wash it. The effect is pleasant on first sniff but the heaviness of it quickly becomes irksome and disagreeable; it's a good bit stronger than actual fresh laundry. I already own the regular Clean Warm Cotton but I was interested by the notes and I wondered what the differences were between this and the regular Warm Cotton, I purchased a 10ml travel atomizer. If you are looking for a scent that smells just like you did your laundry, this one and Blanche by Byredo are the perfect ones. I think it would be a great fragrance for someone who wants to smell like laundry but it’s not for me.

The Reserve version has a very very noticable petrichor/ozone accord in it, which gives the feeling of a fresh, wet t-shirt hanging on the line during a cool windy day before a rain storm starts to roll in, its very fresh, humid and yes, ok, it is a bit synthetic, but its much more wearable in my opinion compared to the original, which I do love, but I really have to be in the mood for as its too simplistic, this one has more complexity and something about it. If you are looking for that clean laundry smell that you get from a dryer sheet, then this would actually be a great choice for you. As it will remind most people of detergent, putting on too much will trigger people to react to it, which is not necessarily the goal here.I don't hate the scent- I don't find it repulsive or anything just like I don't find the smell of laundry repulsive. It has a light and pleasant aroma that will embrace your skin and leave you with a sense of well-being and purity.
