The description of a lot is a matter of Reeman Dansies' opinion and not of fact, and depends on several factors including but not limited to the information provided by the Seller, the condition of the lot, and the generally accepted expert opinion regarding the lot at the time of cataloguing. Any lot purchased at auction may be subject to export restrictions or may require a licence for export out of the United Kingdom, for example depending on the age and value of the lot or if the lot contains organic or endangered materials that are restricted from export (as discussed at paragraph 9 above). Property sold at auction may incorporate endangered or other species of wildlife and plant life, for example ivory, tortoiseshell, crocodile skin, whole bone, ebony or rosewood. Each lot offered for sale at Reeman Dansie is available for inspection by Bidders prior to the auction. The nature of the lots sold at auction is such that they will rarely be in perfect condition and are likely, due to their nature and their age, to show signs of wear and tear, damage, or other imperfections, restoration, or repair.

A right of access can usually be exercised without a charge being paid by the Client, unless the requests from the Client are manifestly unfounded or excessive. The Seller agrees that all property will be sold in accordance with Reeman Dansies’ Conditions of Business. Should any provision of these Conditions of Business be deemed unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Reeman Dansie may agree with the Seller to arrange for a third party shipper, at the Seller's expense.Seller" means the legal owner of the lot offering it for sale, including their agents (other than Reeman Dansie), executors or personal representatives. c) to resell the lot (by auction or private treaty) with estimates and reserves at Reeman Dansies' sole discretion. If the property is not removed within 6 months from such notification, Reeman Dansie reserves the right to sell the property and defray its expenses from any net proceeds of sale.
