About this deal

Unfortunately I am unable to properly measure the sound output of CPU coolers using a digital sound meter. The fan QF120 LED itself has an extremely quiet bearing, so that the noise of the entire cooler is low 25 dB (A). The dual channel RGB system that allows for individual lighting effects and colors for the top logo and bottom under glow.

A very long time ago I had the chance to test and review Cryorig H7, which was delivering some cooling performance but overall not able to provide good results with the AMD Vishera FX-8350.

The Cryorig coolers, like this H7 Quad Lumi CPU tower cooler, look even more dazzling, especially with its LED lighting. This updated version of the H7 keeps everything that made the H7 great while expanding its performance by including a fourth heatpipe. As an effective anti-vibration measure four rubber dampers are embedded in the corners of the 120mm fan.

There is usually an option to add more heat pipes, or you could figure out how to use larger ones in some way, or even a vapor chamber if you are so inclined. We like that the H7 comes out of the box almost completely ready to go onto the CPU it is intended to cool. means Great product with many advantages and certain insignificant drawbacks; but should be considered before purchasing. When idling, it is simply not audible – I put this down the the QF120's fan, which is rated to go as low as 330RPM, give or take 10%. While the options are there in the back plate for other Intel spacing, the X-bar will only align with the holes we have used, and the four AMD holes at the corners of the center section. While the cooler is 123mm in width, and 98mm deep with the fan attached, Cryorig kept this tower limited to only 145mm, so it will fit into more systems than the average 120mm fan cooled towers. It does, of course, ramp up once we overclock the CPU, but even then, the noise is not more than a quiet, steady hum.

So let us waste no more time and check the package, the additional accessories, the cooler structure and after that perform some cooling tests. Of course this was done because at the time of its release CRYORIG didn't have an RGB fan (that should change in a month or so) but as you will see later on this fan/LED strip combination (adjustable by an NZXT CAM controller built-in the cooler - CRYORIG should release their very own solution soon) looks very nice.

With direct knowledge of manufacturing and design as well as holding multiple patents under our collective belt, we decided to make a name for ourselves, and that name is CRYORIG. APPIEFFE GROUP SRL is not liable for any damage that the goods may suffer during transport, nor for any theft, loss or tampering that may occur in this phase. The cooler itself is with overall dimensions of 123(W) x 145(H) x 126(D) mm and overall weight of 845 g including the two fans. Of course, the cooler features the unique for the company Hive Fin structure, which combines the Jet Fin Acceleration System and Turbulence Reduction, which means that the fins are designed as a bee hive shaped structure (the loose air intake) on the front side, and normal horizontal position (high density exhaust section) on the back side of the tower.

To test all CPU coolers, we devised an easily repeatable test with no variables other than the coolers themselves. On the side of the cooler, we see a section at the front that is somewhat closed off; this section is opened enough to accept the fan clips, just like the trailing edge. In addition, the compact dimensions of this cooler combined with the asymmetrical design make Cryorig H7 a great choice for small form factor PCs installed in middleATX, miniATX and mini ITX cases. On top of that, there is the very cool fin orientation that definitely does what it is intended to do.Color change, lighting effects and even Fan RPM and profile settings are all capable through CAM software and app. After all, no matter how many fans are added there are only 3 heatpipes, which in this case really matters. The operation of the fans is done by a 4-pin PWM powered and regulated CRYORIG’s HPLN bearing to deliver stable and precise rotation eliminating excess vibration and noise. With a few years of abusing computer parts, he decided to take his chances and try to get a review job.
