This was the only perfume my mom would let me wear when I was young; I wanted to wear hers, but she always said "Whitney, you're way too young to wear mine". UPDATE: Wearing it with a spray to the chest, I get an outright gourmand scent at first (perhaps custard-like), with little of the "green"/galbanum. This perfume is still exactly what it set out to be all those years ago, and I find that to be simply wonderful.I couldn't for the life of me remember what this smelled like, but I have always been intrigued by the bottle as well as the tagline - "Make a statement without saying a word". I was slightly disappointed with the opening, it was very citrusy with a strong chemical grapefruit vibe.

All of a sudden it dawned on me that the shampoo that I just bought smells exactly like this perfume exclamation. This and Fire and Ice are definitely two old-school scents for me, that bring back plenty of memories.The first smell is sweet in a powdery way but there’s a bit of spice, the scent reminds me of taking the first sip of a cream soda with the sweetness but also that little tang of the fizz. I remember spraying it on, then playing Duck Hunt with my brother on his new Nintendo that Santa brought him. It's like Sophia rearranged many of the same notes: peach, vanilla, heliotrope, rose, and always dabbled with powder. Please always read the labels, warnings, and directions provided with the product before using or consuming a product. So if Exclamation has been changed, it’s either a recent change, or the reproduction seems pretty faithful to the original.

And I don't care if I'm over 40+ - I still enjoy this as much as the first moment it came into my life. It smells just like me in a hotel room, the air conditioner smell taking up the place, mixing with sweat and love and vanilla, it’s a peachy veil of a fragrance that makes even the most mundane of things feel feminine and vintage, not in a practical way but in some type of mirage of dried flowers and soap and love. I hope it's just as I remember it because I need to step back into my blue-haired, rebellious, bad Julie. It's one of those perfumes that I will wear in the spring/summer and on a day where I just want to bring back great memories of loved family members who are no longer with us. Although I can say, you can tell it is an old perfume because it seems much less complex than modern fragrances.
