I was able to get a vintage bottle of this recently and my friend bought a current bottle and we compared them, they smell similar at first spray on top, but the drydown of the vintage is amazing where the current formulation falls flat, and smells like BO.The face for the Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme commercial will be James Franco, and it will be directed by Jan Wentz. The opening notes of patchouli reminded me a lot of Midnight Poison, and this nostalgia is the primary reason why I got Gucci by Gucci. A bummer about the poor lasting power (and non-existent sillage) but it smells great, and wasn't too expensive for a big bottle. The most prominent aromatic notes (violet and sweet tobacco) project with a bright and bold vivacity. The patchouli is wildly noticeable here, so if you hate patchouli; it's pretty much guaranteed you'll hate this. The fruity opening of guava and pear provide a fresh and juicy aspect to the fragrance, keeping it young and modern.You'll find a range of eau de parfums paired with body lotions, rollerball bottles and miniature vials – ideal for the frequent traveller. Longevity on my skin, I need 8 to 12 sprays to start my day, then I have to reapply 3 to 4 hours later with another 3 to 5 sprays to finish off my day. Unfortunately, I have to agree with a good many people here that while Gucci By Gucci PH smells great, it has a synthetic quality about it that just doesn't feel right.

The only fragrance that has attracted a compliment for me in a nightclub from a hot young woman that I had not met until that night. The mid notes of tobacco and jasmine come through with subtlety, giving some warmth and sweetness after the minty opening. The Ariana Grande perfume is a mix of floral and fruity notes for the modern individual that’s just right for every day. Whenever I smell it, Gucci No3 that I used and loved so long ago pops in my head, I might be hallucinating or maybe something is in common.

I personally don't wear fragrances like this too often because they really aren't "me", but this one might grow on me.

UPDATE: After wearing this a little more, I've gotta say the performance seem to be worse than what I thought it originally was.The brand's equally prestigious fragrance collection draws inspiration from the art of alchemy – which has resulted in an array of intoxicating scents.
