It's made from Pinot exclusively from 10 of the finest villages including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois, Aÿ and the house's home patch of Tours-sur-Marne. In 2017, Laurent-Perrier took a huge risk and created a new recipe for their popular non-vintage Champagne. Maceration, Vinification and Blending Grape varietal: For blending, only the musts of the cuvée are used, so only 80% of the grape juice is extracted from pressing. A legendary, lively and elegant champagne, Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée is exquisitely balanced, with notes of vine peach and white fruits, with hints of honeysuckle, grapefruit and apricot flavours very present on the finish.

The Grand Siecle concept is a blend of three great vintages, each bringing certain characteristics from different base years. Laurent-Perrier produces a range of pioneering Champagnes and has a reputation for challenging conventional techniques whilst honouring traditional values.Distinguished by the chubby round hipped bottle, this rosé Champagne has become highly successful, created unusually from 100% Pinot Noir from the best vineyards, and using, for a few days only, the saignée method (contact with the red grape skins) rather than the addition of red wine. The name “Laurent-Perrier” was created by Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, who combined the two family names after the House was expanded. This Champagne is famous for a highly expressive bouquet that stems from the very careful preservation of the grape's naturally fresh red fruit aromas.

Post First World War I, Laurent-Perrier was very sucessful producing around 50,000 cases of Champagne unfortunatley when war broke out the business was hit hard. Reviving what had been a late nineteenth century move to dry rather than the previous fashion for sweeter wine, Laurent-Perrier is champion of very dry Champagnes, evolving from wood to stainless steel in production, together with its hallmark art of blending component elements. Mathilde hired Alexander Fletcher Keith Mackenzie to introduce and market Laurent-Perrier in the UK. The House was built around 4 strong convictions: blending, a unique style, the Chardonnay grape variety and innovation.Today, with Bernard’s daughters Alexandra and Stéphanie on the Management Board, the House of Laurent-Perrier is one of the great success stories in Champagne and is the largest independent Champagne brand worldwide. Made with up to 55% Chardonnay and aged in cellars for a minimum of four years, La Cuvée is delicate yet complex with crisp citrus notes. Laurent-Perrier was the first House to offer the successive breakthrough Cuvées of Grand Siècle , Cuvée Rosé , Ultra Brut and Alexandra Rosé Millesimé. This grape variety brings Brut Sans Année from “ La Cuvée ” to the House’s Champagnes with the most prestigious Cuvées bringing the freshness, the elegance and purity that make the Laurent-Perrier style so distinct.
