About this deal

Five stars for me has to hit ever check mark - I question if these reviews are from people who have actually read the book themselves rather then following the main stream hype. It was surprising, funny, and an emotional ride for people who have had some of the feelings in this story before. With its atmospheric setting, captivating characters, and captivating characters this novel will keep readers on the edge of their seats as Leigh and Max navigate the treacherous world of the supernatural to uncover the truth behind the haunting of Simmons-Pierce Manor. At one point the family friend made a comment about putting the MC over his knee and spanking her, that was so ick and made me cringe.

They delve into the mansion’s dark history, unearthing secrets about the Simmons and Pierce families, whose lives were intertwined with tragedy and betrayal. The first books Shawn remembers reading were the adventures of a horse named Blaze and his youthful owner, Billy, written and illustrated by Clarence William Anderson in the mid-1930's.The reason for my two stars is quite simple: 1) the dialogue is “cheesy” to the point of being unrealistic. the main MC was 16 years old - but her age got lost in the writing, a lot of times I kept thinking she was older than she was, I think the author did not hit the thinking/characteristics of a 16 year old girl.

Overall, “Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor” is a well-written and engaging teen fiction mystery with a paranormal twist. Leigh’s life takes an unexpected turn when her family decides to move into the historic Simmons-Pierce Manor, an eerie Victorian mansion with a chilling reputation for being haunted. You need a great takeoff, a smooth flight to the destination, and a safe and smooth ending that satisfies. The writing was done so well and the author truly possesses such great descriptive prowess — as many have mentioned.Ill always support an upcoming author, I think as his first book, that is a huge accomplishment and I love seeing how much joy, popularity, happiness this has brought him! We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Targeted at young adults, the novel follows Leigh Howard, a teen girl sent to live with her überwealthy relatives after her parents are murdered.
