About this deal

well, I was completely wrong because in Losing Hope this author once again astounded me with her brilliance and Losing Hope did indeed exceed my expectations. I don’t really give a shit what kind of mood you’re in, because I’m in a pretty shitty mood myself, Holder. When you wrapped your arms around me and held me, I knew that no matter what happened with my life you were my home.

If any reader out there is questioning whether or not to read Losing Hope all I can say is please do not give it a second thought. You would think if you gave one perspective character a story of their own and then attempt to tell the same story from a different character's perspective in that same environment that it would be easier, because you have more wiggle room to develop them in a separate account, but it presents a similar problem in that you have to challenge yourself not to repeat information there, and carry the story based on that person's account and their respective stakes and experiences. At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills. This story had me thinking from the first chapter what a fan-freaking-tastic read Hopeless would have be if it would have been written in alternating povs!

It’s a more emotional read than Hopeless because Holder has experienced loss, loss like a young boy shouldn’t, and loss like a teenage boy shouldn’t. I casually lean against the mailbox and pretend to ignore the fact that she totally just checked me out. In fact, I’ll probably be thinking about the way her eyes scrolled down my body for the rest of the damn day. Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB.

Haunted by the little girl he couldn't save from imminent danger, Holder's life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. it was killing me… I wanted to know what Holder was doing, what he was up to, what he was thinking, who he was seeing and YES, Yes, and YES I got it!The reason I didn't rate this as high as Hopeless is actually more about my emotions and less about the writing. Initial reaction: Honestly, I'm feeling rather gutted and not in a constructive way with "Losing Hope". Probably because Breckin is a good fifty pounds lighter than me and several inches shorter and he’s wondering why the hell I haven’t laid Breckin on his ass yet. I’ve been looking for her for thirteen years… I’m not sure that I’m ready for her to remember me yet. Probably because it wasn't as though I was just re-reading them, I was actually re-experiencing them through Holder's eyes.

And the fact that Holder poured out his feelings to his sister through that journal was just heartbreaking. When I was finished reading I just sat there hugging my book, letting the emotions sink it, letting the tears flow, and letting myself just FEEL. And although we pretty much knew what happened to Les, as it was already revealed in Hopeless, reading it again from Holder's POV was just gut-wrenching.
