The “alternative route” card allows a reroll of the dice of the captain’s choice after all passengers have spoken.

The further along the island chain the greater the reward, but also the greater the risk and Celestia is all about balancing your chances of getting to the next island against grabbing the treasure where you are. Thankfully none of the game components have any written language on them so it isn't a major problem. Join the community and come discuss games like Codenames, Wingspan, Brass, and all your other favorite games! If the captain cannot overcome the events on the dice, he plays no cards at all and the aircraft crashes.

With simple rules and stunning artwork, Celestia offers a unique and exciting experience for players of all ages. When the ship fails, play starts over from the first island with all aboard, and each player is dealt a new equipment card. Before the beginning of a new journey, if any player has reached 50 points, the game ends imme- diately. but if you don't jump ship and bank what you've already found, you could lose it all when the captain leads the ship into insurmountable challenges!

Crew, meanwhile, get to decide if they wish to continue the journey, or if they have no faith in the captain! Meaning, to understand what they do you’ll need to reach for the game rules – a dead giveaway you have something special. Yes, everyone is playing for themselves, but each player can only go so far on the few cards they hold. Each round, everyone who is not the captain has to give the captain a hard look and ask themselves the question, Is that the face of someone who is about to betray us? Going around the table clockwise, each player announces whether they will stay on the ship or leave.Enemies are watched closely, their own face down hoard of loot cards a looming threat to your own victory, while alliances are formed, each party using the other to push forward towards higher value booty, all the while patiently waiting for the opportune time to forcefully leave the other behind, once their threat overshadows their use. As passengers have already made their mind up, they can’t change it even after the dice have been re-rolled! Celestia is the semicooperative nature of the game, and a large part of the game hinges on who’s captain. The captain will roll a number of dice and the further along the chain of islands the more dice are rolled.
