About this deal

Hi, can anyone recommend a good quality reciprocating saw that can cut a variety of materials wood, plastics etc? Made by Milwaukee, their top corded saws(14amp or 15amp) are the most rugged and powerful and long lasting of all the options. When fitted with the correct blades, they are capable of cutting metals, wood and thicker materials such as tree branches, leaving a more accurate cut than a chainsaw. never used a Scorpion type saw so cannot comment on that, but own and have used reciprocating saw many times. This short stroke, very fast cutting Saw was made especially for cutting thin section glass fibre reinforced plastics up to 6mm (1/4") and light gauge metal up to 3mm (1/8") thick.

I've used one of these for years and cuts everything down with it - we have an acre with lots of trees and a full bush fenceline (approx 200m of it).Plenty of power for cutting through branches and pallets, I also used it to cut through metal L-shaped fence posts. Usually I would just grab the chainsaw in this situation but being petrol this was going to be way too loud! Since the garden already came with another shed by its side my wife insisted that this one needs to come down to make way for the children’s trampoline. Throw away the free blades you get and use good branded blades (such as Bosch blades from Screwfix). It’s also worth noting that the Mac Allister reciprocating saw comes with 2 blades, 1 metal cutting blade and 1 wood cutting blade.

In addition, the MAC Allister Reciprocating Saw 900W MERS900 has a tool-free blade change system, so you can quickly and easily change blades without the need for any tools. The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping, or may be in the original packaging but not sealed.Looking at the DeWatt saw that you showed, it looks great, but I think I have got used to the 'long thin' dimensions, rather than the gun shape.
