It follows the author’s journey, but anyone who has experience as a queer person should be able to relate on some level.so the girl spent the summer working on herself and exploring her sexuality…and then the friend confessed her love to the girl and then they took a chance on ruining their friendship to experience (potentially) what their love story could feel like. My first time picking up a book in what feels like an incredibly long time, and I found this book by complete accident on TikTok. when our eyes lock and I feel our hearts whispering to each other, but I break the eye contact and cut the conversation short.

we’ve made out a few times, and I’m definitely not straight (which never actually needed physical confirmation, but I have it). One of the characteristics of the book that I enjoy the most is the fact that this collection of poetry can be read in two different ways: either as a story or as separate pieces. The words hold such weight that they’ll never be forgotten - and stay with you long after the page has turned. so a LOT has happened since my friends and I moved into an apartment together (Aleyah being one of them). The poems describe the story of a person who falls in love with their closest friend at the same time as they come to terms with who they truly are.This book is a collection of poetry that walks you through heartache, mental health, tears, smiles, laughter, and a countless array of emotions. Through the art of poetry, the author aims to raise awareness and educate readers about love and acceptance of LGBT people. The fact that this collection of poetry may be read both as a story and as individual pieces is one of my favourite aspects of the book. and now, the former best f; riends are queer lovers: navigating the ins and outs of being a queer couple and being in love. This feels and looks like it was written/drawn by a 10 year old with the sole purpose of filling a notebook up.

We all navigate our heartbreaks, and embrace love in different capacities, but are all capable of such raw feelings at the same time…it’s mind boggling and amazing. so we need to be better about embracing it all, seeing, feeling, and experiencing as much as we can… until we can’t. It's always hard to comment on the works of women and more so lesbian being a straight man, however, I connect on the poetic level and I appreciate the author's journey through words.if you are lucky enough to feel love, even for just a single moment, it will stay with you forever: the feeling. WARNING: Some of the material discussed in this book may be too intense or upsetting for some of the readers who choose to engage with it. Or anyone that’s had days where they didn’t know their purpose, and they might need a little reminder that they matter.
