I wondered if devices connected to the 333 were working ok on EE without the connection to the USG, to get an idea if there's a problem with the EE SIM / APN in isolation. My 333 will not work on 4G with a Lebara (Vodafone) SIM, but it works fine on 3G. With an iD Mobile SIM, both 3G & 4G work without issue. There’s also the option to connect an external antenna as it has support for two SMA antennas, to potentially improve the range and performance of the device. This again is a match for most rival devices.

The B535 routers from Three, seem to work fine with Three and some other carriers but not all and not in a consistent way. I did have a B535-232, it worked fine on Three, Lyca & Lebara but for some reason it would not work with an iD mobile SIM, my B535-333 works fine with iD but only 3G with Lyca. Strangely, mine works fine with an EE SIM and shows a 4G+ connection (band aggregation?) but is on a later version of firmware. It’s one of two 4G home broadband devices available from the network at the time of writing, but with the other (the Huawei AI Cube) also being a smart speaker, this will likely be the default device for many buyers.
